Speaker 1:

Ready, ready. Hey everyone, welcome back to your latest episode of Snitchin'. It's your host, kristen and Brittany. Get ready for the best part of your day. Hey, britt, how was your weekend? We didn't chat at all this weekend. What'd you get up to?

Speaker 2:

It was good. I actually was off Thursday. Friday we did a little family trip down to Scituate, which was fun, but it ended up mostly being me like watching the two kids while chris worked on thursday and then golfed on friday. So it was okay. But I do have a story that I actually hate, but I feel like I should tell it for awareness. Oh, my god, so we it was saturday morning at like 4 15. So actually, to take a step back, chris and connor were sleeping in a room, okay, tyler was sleeping in a room and I. Chris and Connor were sleeping in a room. Okay, tyler was sleeping in a room and I was sleeping in the room in a room. Okay, separate rooms. At 415. On Saturday morning, chris wakes me up and is like there's a bird flying around our room, like what?

Speaker 1:

do, I do.

Speaker 2:

And I was like what? And no, it wasn't a bird, it was a fucking bat, no, flying around their room. No, so gross. I was like you woke up the wrong person here. First of all, I was just, I just ran away. I was just like, oh, I would have flipped out with a bat, like at all you're supposed to get rabies shots? Because bats can carry rabies, I guess I. It is less than one percent, so I'll caveat that, but it's like well, I shouldn't say it's common, but bats can carry rabies. And I guess bats can like oh, this is so gross, I hate even saying it like they can like bite or like scratch you like when you're sleeping, and you wouldn't even know yeah, like bats are so sick.

Speaker 1:

It reminds me, first off, of that office episode where there's a bat that gets into the office and dwight, covers meredith with a trash bag and traps the bat with with her in the bag. Oh, oh, my god. But also, yeah, first thing I thought about no, bats are gross, dude. And even it's like the 1% sure it's a 1% chance, but you're obviously going to get the rabies thing because, like, how many people do you know are in contact with a bat?

Speaker 2:

Well, I know Well, so it's a whole thing though.

Speaker 1:

Or maybe it's not obvious. Are you not doing?

Speaker 2:

it doing it. Well, no, I mean, so it's we. We think it got in through the window the window was like a little bit open in chris and connor's room so we were, like you know, basically 100, sure that it got in and out through that that way.

Speaker 2:

So chris and connor got shots, but like so the shots are extensive, it's like four rounds of shots like one day, three days later, seven days later, 14 days later, and you have to get like multiple, so like one's like the vaccine to present, prevent it, and then one's like, I guess, the one that would like tackle any like rabies antibodies that were like in you, and you have to go to an ER. You can't go to a doctor, so it's a whole thing and it's I mean, it's expensive, like it's a couple hundred bucks, insurance doesn't cover it, and it's like a lot to put in your body. So, yeah, so Chris and Connor definitely went.

Speaker 2:

Tyler, me, kyle and Sammy were debating it, but yeah, I don't think I'm going to get one because I'm sure that it didn't get in my room. I didn't wake up, yeah, and I checked. I mean Tyler's room was like the door was shut, the windows were shut, every single thing was shut, like I don't know how the bat would have gotten in, yeah, now, so, but it's still kind of haunting me, more for Tyler than for me, but I'm like I also don't want to get him vaccinated with all these shots, like if he doesn't need it like it's not an anti-vaxxer but, like I'm, not someone who like jumps to put chemicals in your body.

Speaker 1:

Well, no, I feel like if Tyler was never in the room, then I, of course you're going to feel like whatever. What if, like, I feel like there's no way.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm like what if he like climbed in through a little crack in the closet, totally so. I called the doctor. I called Tyler's doctor this morning to get their opinion and they were like if he wasn't in the room he doesn't need it done. If the bat didn't get in the room, yeah, so I mean, but I'm obviously still worrying about it. Oh, and the other thing is like you don't show symptoms for one to three months, stop and then you die, like if you get rabies, you die.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my god, okay, well, yeah, intense, but I mean smart for you to call the doctor and if the doctor said it didn't get in the room, like you're good, literally I guarantee that the bat did not get in the room.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, like, I'm like 99.99999% sure that the bat didn't leave Chris and Connor's room, but actually my dad's having an exterminator come over on Thursday to like really check it. Smart If they, like Iator, come over on Thursday to like really check it Smart. So, like, if they like I'm going to ask them to like check those two rooms and if they confirm that like there was no way the bat could have got in with the door shut, then I'll feel fine.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, oh my God though, what a dude I. That's gross, that's brutal.

Speaker 2:

And I never would have known that. About bats, Chris had like heard the story he heard of like our upstairs neighbor in Southie once having to do that. Like he heard the same story, so that's how he knew. But like he called the doctor and they were like oh my God, yeah, you have to go to the ER now. Like oh, it's a whole thing. This happens all the time this time of year. Like any. I was like what?

Speaker 1:

I didn't know that. I have literally never heard that in my life.

Speaker 2:

Psa, everyone Close your windows, like if we'd never heard that from a random Southie neighbor, like we would have never known.

Speaker 1:

I've never heard that in my life. That's terrifying. So did Chris just like wake up to like the sound.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Like flapping around its room.

Speaker 1:

Ew, oh no oh, no, so gross. How's connor is he like? Was he scared or was he?

Speaker 2:

just didn't even know what was going on. He was scared. He didn't wake up at first, but then, like chris turned on the light and like put him on the ground and he started crying. But then I was like okay, well, I'm just gonna take connor in my room and shut the door yeah, totally so that's what I did. I was like that's your problem, yeah, so I think chris ended up like opening the window and then just shutting the door and it like eventually flew out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Oh dude, but I was like so scared to open the door the next day. I was like if there's a dead bat in there, or it's like hanging upside down somewhere, like I mean I'm probably never going in that room again, I'm definitely never sleeping in it.

Speaker 1:

I mean totally understandable. I I hate birds. To begin a bat next level, no yeah.

Speaker 2:

No.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry that you had to deal with that and I didn't realize it was such an extensive process to get Baby shots Like that's. That's not an you know, that's a whole thing. So that's super annoying. But I mean you, I'm sure you're totally fine, and like if your doctor said you're fine, then I think most people would do what you did. And I know you're still deciding, but yeah, yeah, I mean yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 2:

The exterminator is the last check. If he confirms, then we're good.

Speaker 1:

I think that's a that's a good idea.

Speaker 2:

Were your parents like freaking out too, or were they just yeah, I mean everyone was freaking out too, or were they just? Yeah, I mean everyone was freaking out. Yeah, right, right, we all like woke up and everyone was. I was like trying to get the dogs to chase it away, because actually the dogs get rabies shots so they would have been fine. Oh, frank, I mean frank, finley and callie oh, finley and callie.

Speaker 1:

Well, yeah, that's.

Speaker 2:

That's an update, for sure not what I was expecting a weekend, I know, I know well, I mean no bats were involved.

Speaker 1:

Hopefully better. Yeah, I mean, mine was great. I, my sister and some of our friends came over. We have a book club on Friday that I totally didn't read the book for oh yeah, what was the? Book I spaced it first lie wins. I think it was a Reese Witherspoon book yeah, oh yeah yeah, but so, yeah, but it.

Speaker 1:

They came over, we had dinner and then, oh, saturday, you'll like this, so, or maybe this was Sunday, yeah, sunday. So Gina and her parents came into the Bay and Bill brought the kids to a little bit later. They were having like a family event and so I went down and met them for a couple of hours. We walked over to this brewery that's down, you know, close to in the Marina, where I live, basically, and it's a very family friendly brewery, so you walk in. There's always dogs, because they were doing like an actual event. Literally, the place was littered with children, littered.

Speaker 2:

Like all those millennials, are looking for shit to do with their kids.

Speaker 1:

All of business opportunities to be made. I know you've been saying that, for you've been calling that. Well, the funny part about it is that mo and rico were like floored. They were truly floored. They were like this is insane, like how many babies are in this brewery? And then we were just talking about and they actually said because they listened to the pod and they were like you need to bring this up in the pod, so shout, so shout out. Mo and Rico, I know you're going to listen to this episode, but anyway, they were just like I can't believe that there's all these families in here. You know, when we were growing like when we were raising our kids, you would never bring your babies into like a brewery or into any type of bar. And I was like remember that sweet home Alabama scene where Reese Witherspoon says to like her the other character, like the hometown Alabama friend, she's like you have a baby in a bar. You remember that? Anyway, it was totally.

Speaker 2:

It reminded me of that, but so it was kind of funny yeah, I mean I understand the sentiment, but I'm like, what did people do like that? I mean not that you need to drink to have fun, but I'm like sorry for being selfish and like wanting to do something that is like fun for me and them, because it's so easy to please them, like if they just have like a couple board games at a place, like they're fine, or there's like a jungle gym or something like it's all good, I'm with you but I mean they do a good job because they have like, yeah, they have like a basketball game, a ski ball, have like this giant, jenga giant, connect, for they have board games.

Speaker 1:

So it's like, and, like I said, it's very family friendly. So kids are just running around or they're looking at the boats or whatever, but it was a funny anecdote. And then later that day I went over and did an escape room with my two nieces and my dad, and then my nieces slept over last night. So that was really fun. We had a nice little sleepover before they go back to school this week. So the last-. When's their first day? It's Wednesday.

Speaker 1:

I don't know why they do this, because they have two days Wednesday and Thursday and then they have for Labor Day, friday off and Monday. I don't know why they just don't push another week. That's weird, I don't know. I mean, obviously there's a reason behind it gonna be in the Walpole school system.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I know I was talking to my sister. I think she is sadder about it than she maybe even thought she would be. She's. The girls went back to school shopping and I guess they like didn't tell her and she was very sad. She was like, oh, you know, it's the last one, and all that.

Speaker 2:

So but but yeah, you can still go back to school shopping in college?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, totally. I just think that everything probably in the beginning for this year is going to be a lot of like the last you know, last, first day, last, whatever, so there's probably going to be a lot of that. We were talking actually about that also at the brewery, because right now there's a big debate in that house about once Ava moves out. So Ava has a room, sophia has room, the twins, the boys share a room and Ava is very much not wanting to give up her room right away and wants to keep it her room for the first few months and John is literally itching to move into that room is like asking when can he get that room?

Speaker 1:

And I was talking to Mo and Rico about it because obviously they had four kids and went through that whole process and I do think it is a rite of passage where the younger one gets to move into the older siblings room once they go to college.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, you can't like hosier room, you can't that, you're not going to sleep in.

Speaker 1:

You're not going to sleep in. You've gotten the first pick of the room, the first pick of everything your whole life, right.

Speaker 2:

The younger ones get a choice, yep, so that's my personal preference, but they're actively working that out. Does Ava have a new room she would go into?

Speaker 1:

I don't really know what they would do. I think actually she would probably go into, like there's a bedroom down in the basement. There's like a separate bedroom. Actually, I think they got rid of the bed down there because when I used to sleep over, I would sleep there, but I there is a room she could go into.

Speaker 1:

Oh, so it's not like she's gonna be on the couch yeah, I know totally, but I feel like that is what did you guys well, because you each had a room, so it wasn't an issue yeah, I mean I also.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was me and two boys. So yeah, my brother shared a room for a little bit, but then they except, I always have my own room.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. So I mean, that is a nice thing about being the only girl, yeah. But so, yeah, that was my weekend and we have a great episode for you. Per usual, we're actually going to do something a little bit off the cuff. So, as we all know, swifties, taylor nation is doing another countdown. Trust us, we don't have our hopes up. We said it on the pod last week we don't like the countdowns, but because we're recording this one, this episode, a little bit later than we normally do on Monday, we're actually going to be recording live at 4 PM when the countdown ends on Taylor nation. So we're going to do a live reaction to whatever the news is at 4 PM.

Speaker 1:

Eight minutes now first we're going to talk a couple of stories in the news and then we are also, at the end of the episode, going to do our Summer. I Turned Pretty recap. This is for episode four and this was I mean episode seven, excuse me and this was such a good episode, so we're excited for this one. But the first story for this week some romance news. Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz. Their romance rumors have been heating up but as of today, zoe was seen out with Harry Styles in Rome. So this is kind of what we know Basically.

Speaker 1:

Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz. They were caught kind of canoodling in Paris. They are starring in a new film together that premieres this week and they were at the premiere in Paris on Thursday and there was photos that were obtained by Page Six where they were at this dimly lit bar called the Dragon Bar and it seemed like at one point they were leaning in, they were having an affectionate embrace. An insider told the Daily Mail that there's definitely chemistry between them and they're loving spending time together promoting their film. So that's been like kind of the rumor mill for a while. But then so that was Thursday night. Then Sunday Harry and Zoe were seen walking like arm in arm. She was holding onto his arm on a stroll in Rome and a fan captured the video and shared it to Twitter, slash X and it definitely looked like I mean it was, she was definitely holding on to his arm.

Speaker 2:

So, yeah, it did right, I mean the the austin butler. Honestly, I feel like more and more movies do that now, like for publicity, like try to make everyone talk about the two main couple, like the two people dating in real life, which is annoying, that's a really great call.

Speaker 1:

I know like the sydney sweeney glenn powell I think that was definitely one yeah, um I agree they definitely try to to like pump it up for the publicity. But like I don't really care about austin butler he, he dated I don't like him. What, what don't you like about him?

Speaker 2:

I don't know, I don't think he's a very good actor and I just think he seems like one of those guys that's like really cocky.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I feel like after the Elvis movie I know that he was like in character for Elvis for years, but then he kind of kept on that accent. That was like a little bizarre. Yeah, he didn't do it for me. I think he kind of came to fame a little bit after, like, I think he was on some of those nickelodeon shows that were kind of right after our time, like I could see if we, if he was on like liz mcguire or something, we would have maybe liked him more. But I want to say it was like maybe zoe 101 or one of those shows that he was big on. I don't know that I'm pretty sure. Yeah. So yeah, I just don't really care about him. But what do you think about? I do care about Harry Styles. What do you think about her? Obviously, her and Harry.

Speaker 2:

I mean I love Harry. I don't know that I see him with a serious relationship. I mean I guess he was with Olivia Wilde for a little bit. I don't know. I don't know. I don't love Zoe Kravitz either.

Speaker 1:

Really.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, maybe it's just because I didn't really like her character in Big Little Lies and that's like really the only thing I've seen her in. But I feel like she's like not a good actor and kind of just like an Epo baby, but she's beautiful.

Speaker 1:

She is beautiful. I don't have any opinion about her, like I. I just I've never really seen anything she was in. I will say I mean it seems like she's been with some high profile people. She was with Penn Badgley for a couple of years, the guy from Gossip Girl, he's very funny, channing Tatum, yep, channing Tatum for a few years and he seems funny. I mean she's also tight with Taylor. She's already listened to the album.

Speaker 2:

She said it was like a no skip album album. Oh, I forgot about that. Oh, she's taylor.

Speaker 1:

Okay, that makes me like her more but it's also kind of an interesting topic because even though harry and taylor dated briefly, like 10 years ago, I mean, it is still one of her exes. So I wonder what? Like I would love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation, you know yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So I mean, I feel like harry and taylor are very much done. Oh yeah, me too I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't care. But I mean, I feel like Harry and Taylor are very much done. Oh yeah, me too I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't care. But yeah, I bet the Swifties are all getting all stirred up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, for sure. But yeah, I mean, stay tuned. I definitely would be like some juicy news and go Zoe, she's, she's all over. I mean, I will say actually, now that I'm talking about it, she did star in a couple of episodes of the new Seth Rogen Apple TV show, the studio and she plays herself in it and she was really funny, like the two of my favorite episodes of that series where she was starring in it and she was hilarious. So we'll see.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we'll see, I guess. But yeah, we got three minutes, so this countdown is up.

Speaker 1:

Well, the only maybe. I do have like a quick tip that that is Taylor related. Before we do this, Okay, the Dancing with the Stars cast was the pro cast was announced, which I know. You don't watch that show, but for anyone who does, Mark Ballas is back and that is like my number one for all time. I'm so excited that he's back. I literally can't wait. Also, Alan Bernstein, I hope. I just hope he has a great partner. He was with Alona Mar last year. They're so awesome. But you're going to care about this because Jan I don't know his last name but Taylor's Error's Tour Dancer, Jan.

Speaker 2:

Oh wait, which one's that? Let me. I got to look at it Rumored to be a new pro. I'd love that. Yep, so I knew. Okay, yeah, I know which one.

Speaker 1:

That one is yeah. So oh, and you know that, you know that it's going to be referenced in his like intro and all of that. So who knows, maybe we get a little behind the scenes tea about what it was like to be on aristore oh true, i't even think about that. I was like, maybe they'll play more Taylor songs.

Speaker 2:

Who knows, is that show on once a week or is it like four times a week?

Speaker 1:

Once a week. No, it's not like Big Brother. It's once a week, but it's two hours. Oh yeah, that's a lot. It is a two hour show, but it is. I mean, it is really good. Yeah, I would like it.

Speaker 2:

I would like it if I watched it.

Speaker 1:

I've always just thought it's for old people, but it seems like it's had a young resurgence lately yeah, my nieces were telling me that they they're gonna watch it and they're gonna tune in, and they watched last season, so I think it has had a resurgence. They've definitely like gone to the influencer crowd, like alex earl being the new being on the cast now.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, we talked about this?

Speaker 1:

yeah, they're leaning into that, but should we do our countdown? Do you want to go on to taylor? What do we got?

Speaker 2:

oh, we have 15 seconds, let's go. Better not be another fucking vinyl. After the first one, I didn't even pay attention to the second one. I was like I'm not, I'm not not getting too excited about this.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I hear you All right, here we go, here we go.

Speaker 2:

And a new vinyl.

Speaker 1:

Life of a.

Speaker 2:

Showgirl. The tiny bubbles in champagne collection, all right, whatever. Yeah, taylor Nation, don't do that, don't do it.

Speaker 1:

There's no way Countdowns are not for merch Like. There's no way they're getting a good fan reaction.

Speaker 2:

Right, I'm like I don't understand. Why are they doing?

Speaker 1:

this? Yeah, I don't either. I like the photo though, but yeah, I didn't even look at it.

Speaker 2:

I just exited out, yeah, whatever.

Speaker 1:

Anywho, one piece of news before we get to our summer. I turn pretty recap. Just another dating update. Brittany Cartwright from Vanderpump Rules, fame and the Valley she has a new man in her life. Kristen Doty confirmed to people on August 21st. She has someone in her life. That's really amazing and I'm head over heels, for she's dated people during her single years since her ex-husband and I have not approved of them. They've been fine but not wonderful. This person is very wonderful and very cool, very family feeling. She said he's also a parent.

Speaker 2:

Wait, she's dated multiple people since her and Jack's broke up. Is that what you're?

Speaker 1:

saying, yeah, kristen Doty confirmed that she's been dating. But, yeah, it seems like she found someone that Kristen really likes also is a kid. But then there was also a headline that I saw for this, where it's rumored to be this man named Brandon Hanson I think he's like a no name. But there's a woman named Jacinda Stanko again no name who like wrote on a Tik TOK post that he was, that it quote, he's my husband and then added in another comment that that man is married. So I don't know. But you know what? Here's the thing with like. I feel like reality TV stars are, quote unquote, like B-list, c-list celebs. Anyone's going to come out of the woodwork to try to just get their head line. So, like, who knows really, yeah, you know, no, that's true.

Speaker 2:

That's true. Is Ariana still with her guy that she was like she got together with like right after the Sandoval?

Speaker 1:

breakup. Yeah, daniel, wow, I know Surprised. She seems like a relationship girl to me.

Speaker 2:

I can't stand Ariana. I like Ariana. I think she's better than everyone else. It annoys me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, I mean that's that's fair. But I am like I mean we've talked about the Valley on the show. The Valley was really hard to watch at the end of the series this season. So I'm actually really excited to like have a season with Brittany being single and just live in her life and dating and not having all of the fighting with Jack's Like yeah, I didn't.

Speaker 2:

I watched like one episode of that and then I was like I'm not into this. Yeah, um, but yeah, I mean we're over her and jack's fighting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah we're over it. You know they're not getting back together. She said that their relationship is like legit horrible. There's no trust oh yeah, and he's not coming back to the new season of the valley, so I hope it's a fresh slate for her, because I like britney I do too.

Speaker 2:

I wish the best for her, for sure. Yeah, wow.

Speaker 1:

I know it's crazy. And I guess their divorce is set to go through. They're not, like, fully divorced yet. Their divorce is set to go through in October, but yeah that's an update for her.

Speaker 2:

It's crazy. It makes you feel like they really were just like acting on the show the whole time.

Speaker 1:

Well, I don't know. I feel like they were in love. I feel like she was just very naive when she first got with him.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, not after like 10 years.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like by the end of Vanderpump. Yeah, I feel like her reasons probably for staying with him is like partly pride, because I feel like people warned her about him, for sure. Yeah, and she just, you know, obviously wanted to prove them wrong and then they did have a kid. So you know, there's that. Yeah, I mean it feels like she's seen the light, like she, she has no problem just bashing him publicly now.

Speaker 2:

So I wonder if Jax will do anything.

Speaker 1:

I know I could see him like starting a podcast or something like that. Yeah, I could see, I could see that for sure. Yeah, he's going to want to stay relevant. But okay, last and not least, our summer, I turned pretty episode seven recap. This might have been my favorite episode of the season so far, Same same. I watched it twice. Oh my God, Tell. Okay, what first thoughts Like? What do you think First thoughts?

Speaker 2:

belly's a bitch and she doesn't deserve Conrad and Taylor is friend of the year. She's like the best friend ever, like I feel like she was exactly what Belly needed and like Belly didn't even have. She was just like, oh, you know, I picture my wedding. It wasn't anything like this and, like you know, it was like with Conrad and like immediately Taylor knew she didn't have to say it.

Speaker 2:

You know, she was like oh no, yeah, 1000. But I feel like, yeah, she did a good job of like being there for her, but not, like you know, telling her what to do.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, I agree. I mean in terms of like the Taylor storyline also in this episode, like it's just I feel like everyone kind of knows what Taylor's doing right, like, and you just hate to see it. She's trying to play it like so cool and like her pride is like like her mom, you know, and it's it's just like you know that game. When it's like you you are trying to act like you don't care so much, that you're almost like pushing them to be together and it's like no, taylor, what are you doing? Don't tell Denise to call Steven. Like. Don't tell Steven you'll be his wingman, like wing woman, like what.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's weird and like weird and like it. How I can't believe denise didn't know that steven liked her. I thought they like already kind of had a little thing going.

Speaker 1:

Maybe she just didn't want to like believe it or think that he did, or I don't know. Yeah, I mean, I was so happy when the mom like saved the day by being drunk at the end, like go, go Resenda.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, that was great.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that was great, although I did feel so bad, like it was. Taylor's conversation with her was super harsh when she was just like I don't, I'm not going to beg someone to be with me or whatever, I'm not going to be like you and be pathetic. It was like ouch you know, not ideal. Not ideal, Although I literally had to look away, avert my eyes from the screen when taylor belly and their friend annika were doing their like reception dance.

Speaker 1:

I kind of liked the dance. Oh my god, brittany, I truly had to turn away, did you?

Speaker 2:

did for the boys one too. Yes, I hated it. Wow, I hated it. Yeah, I wrote in my notes that I love the dancing part. It's so modern and current.

Speaker 1:

Okay, that's fair, it is so modern, yeah, but I just hated it. I was just like no, it just maybe because they weren't. I just didn't think they were that great of dancers, I don't know.

Speaker 2:

I was just like I can't watch this, I mean it's definitely cringy, but yeah, I feel like that's more of a thing. Everyone loves a choreographed dance, even if it doesn't really like totally make sense. Yeah, I feel like people love a choreographed dance. I mean, I know I do, that's true, um, but I wonder, yeah, I wonder, if they're supposed to be like doing it all out at the wedding. We'll see, I guess we'll see.

Speaker 2:

We'll see if, if this wedding actually, you know if it does take place I was cringing so hard at the part when they were like the boys were like out at the bar singing jeremiah is a bulldog, bullfrog. Jeremiah was a bullfrog, right, right. I was like, oh my god, I can't watch this no, that's yeah.

Speaker 1:

That's so true.

Speaker 2:

I don't even know where to start with the conrad of it all, like he just crushed it, this episode yeah, yeah, I'm looking back at my notes and I think I accidentally wrote twice that I saw like he looks exactly like jack dawson. There was like so many, so many points where he was like yes yeah, just like his look.

Speaker 1:

It's so classic, it's so hot. Like it's just, he's like the ultimate gentleman. I feel like jenny han is just trying to make this man like the man of our, of everyone's dreams, like the yearning, the moral compass he has. Even when he was telling Steven, when he was like are you really going to go for Denise? In front of Taylor, I was like, yes, conrad, like let's, let's, you know I love that. And he like tried to put on such a brave face for his brother. Like when Jeremiah got there for the bachelor party and he was like you know, he said he was just like, oh, the party's beginning, and like you could tell he was just trying to do his best to like be there for him. And I was just like, oh, conrad, I just love you so much I know.

Speaker 2:

And the part when jeremiah was like what did he? He made like some little comment to him that was like a jerk. He was like, oh, thanks for taking my care of my girl over the summer. I was like what?

Speaker 1:

oh, I know you little dweeb and it's just like it's just, he's the worst. Like no, no compassion for his brother at all. It's so annoying. I felt like the scene where they had belly and jeremiah like hook up was kind of necessary. I hated that part. I forgot about that. I didn't like it either, but I did feel like they kind of needed to like, yeah, re-establish, why are these two even getting together like okay, yeah, wait, I remember I don't even remember what conrad did to belly like why did he deserve that?

Speaker 2:

I was like shocked. I I don't know if that it happened in the book where he like professed his love like this and she said no, oh really, um, yeah, yeah, I can't remember, but I don't think it did. But I was like shocked that she was just like a jerk to him back. I was like what did he even do? That was so bad.

Speaker 1:

I can't even remember what he left her at prom or something, I think like okay, season one, he like told her he kind of liked her and then took it back and then kind of like said he liked her again and asked her to go to the dying.

Speaker 1:

I know, I know, but I think it was like five years ago, yeah, yep and well. And then to your point, last season I think, because his mom took a turn and he was like really struggling, he was like pulling away and then he broke up with her at prom. I know it's like belly's the worst, she's, she. Literally I didn't even realize that Jeremiah cheating on her happened three months ago. I don't think. Oh yeah, I know, I do not think. I like clocked that. And when Conrad was professing his love at the beach and is like I never looked at another girl when we were together and she's like you were way you did, you know way worse, blah, blah, blah, I was like what are you talking about?

Speaker 2:

Like his mom. Yeah, I was like what?

Speaker 1:

what's worse, what I know, he never cheated on her. He never cheated on her. He was clearly like mentally struggling because his mother died. Like yeah, give the kid a break. I know, I know, and it's like, oh, okay, you're saying that as Jeremiah stands you up and lets you down yet again because he didn't meet you at the beach, because he got wasted with his friends and who's here?

Speaker 2:

Right, he's past their drunken bed.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's just like ugh. I know.

Speaker 2:

Conrad made a comment about it and she was like oh my God, it's his bachelor party. Relax. I was like you. Relax, Belly, I know, I know you don't deserve.

Speaker 1:

She doesn't deserve Conrad. She doesn't deserve Conrad. And when he was like, when his voice was like breaking, when he was talking about, like how we talk, like we used to, and then we, you know, you look at me like we used to.

Speaker 2:

I was just like, oh my God, Conrad, I know and I didn't realize that he didn't know that Jeremiah cheated too. He totally thought she didn't know.

Speaker 1:

Well, I appreciated how Conrad like literally said to her, like you know, and then he was like that happened three months ago, belly Like what the fuck? Yeah, like I was happy that he was kind of mad about it and like dissed Jer. But I also thought like one of my favorite parts, I think, of the whole show outside of for Conrad outside of, when he like professed his love at the end, was when they did run into each other kind of mid bachelor bachelorette party and she asked him did you convince my mom to come to the bridal shower? And you can tell he's trying to kind of avoid it at first, and then he finally admits that he did it and he's like why do you think I did it? Cause it's important to you. And I was just like, oh my God, this man is too good for anyone. But you're right, especially her.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, like I kind of want her to end up with Jeremiah now, because she doesn't deserve Conrad.

Speaker 1:

That's yeah, I mean that's not. I feel like a lot of people have that same take but I mean we want ultimately want what Conrad wants.

Speaker 2:

So I guess I want them to be together. But how many more episodes are left in the season? I've been meaning to Google that I think 11. 11. So it's four more. That sounds right.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean I don't really know how much more they can do when the wedding's supposed to be like that week.

Speaker 2:

I could see them doing. I feel like a lot of shows now will do like the big scene, like almost like the Game of Thrones thing, like the second to last episode is like a big episode, and then they do like another episode that's just kind of like keeps you lingering there.

Speaker 1:

I don't hate that approach yeah, I don't hate that approach. Only other thing I wanted to say was just like another as always great episode of music. I loved that they opened with juno. I love that song yeah I thought the week uh, we can't be friends, like dance scene, the ariana grande, like we can't be, oh my like dance scene the Ariana Grande.

Speaker 2:

Like we can't be friends, oh my God. Yeah, I love that part All those flashbacks, yeah, so good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I love that part and the L-O-M-L at the end, the Taylor like was perfect. I felt like that was such a great song to put there.

Speaker 2:

I had like such opposite reactions to the two Taylor songs in it. Oh really, like Robin in that part and I don't hate Robin. I know that's kind of like a deep cut, but I don't hate that song, but I hated it in that scene. I felt like it was weird, but I thought Lommel was spot on. Yeah, me too, spot on.

Speaker 1:

Right when it started playing, I was like damn well done, jenny.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I actually saw online I wonder if you saw this that Jenny Han admitted that she really wanted to have Taylor's songs be a part of the show, because when she was writing the books a lot of her music was inspiration and stuff. I love that More, like the earlier, so it was important to her that she really wanted Taylor's music in the show. And Taylor is obviously someone. It's really hard to get her music on your show. It's expensive or I don't know. They just don't give out the rights very much. I don't think Taylor gives out the rights very much. So Jenny Han wrote a handwritten letter to her, to Taylor, and that's how she got access to the songs for the show. I love that.

Speaker 1:

That's a real Swifty right there. Yeah, a real Swifty would know that Taylor would like a handwritten letter too Totally so, yeah, we can't wait for the next episode this season's serving. I feel like this is my favorite season. I look forward to every episode, and this last one was 10 out of 10. But that's all the time we have for today. Thanks everyone for tuning in.
